Injury Prevention & Performance Enhancement
The only training program scientifically proven to significantly reduce the risk of serious knee injury in female athletes.

Serious knee injuries are sidelining athletes at an alarming rate: 1 out of every 100 female high school athletes and 1 in 10 female collegiate athletes will suffer a knee injury this year. These serious, often season-ending, injuries occur in females at a rate of 2-10 times more than they do in males. Many of these injuries are non-contact injuries in sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball which involve jumping, pivoting or cutting.

SPORTSMETRICS’ specialized progression of jump/plyometric drills teach athletes safe techniques for jumping and landing and has been proven to:

  • Significantly reduce the risk of serious knee injuries in female athletes (ACL injuries and MCL injuries)
  • Increase vertical jump height, up to 4 inches
  • Improve hamstrings to quadriceps muscle strength ratio
  • Improve jumping and landing mechanics
  • Improve symmetry in right-to-left leg strength, reducing side-to-side movements at the knee

SPORTSMETRICS’ research has achieved the Excellence in Research Award from the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Sportsmetrics has been featured in numerous media stories across the country: Health, The New York Times, ESPN Wide World of Sports, and on Good Morning America.

Is Sportsmetrics for Females Only??? NO. Recent research indicates while females have a higher prevalence for non-contact ACL tears, males also demonstrate reduced risk of injury as well as increased vertical jump height with the sportsmetrics training protocol.
