Lisa has been a physical therapist for eight years. She joined PT Northwest last summer and had previously worked in Portland. Lisa is originally from Wyoming, but came to Oregon to attend University of Oregon. Her education continued at Pacific University where Lisa received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.

Lisa has worked in outpatient orthopedics and sports therapy since completing physical therapy school. She combines outstanding manual therapy skills, such as strain-counterstrain, muscle energy techniques, and joint mobilization, with her strong strength and conditioning background in her treatments. Lisa also is a certified ASTYM provider. She has years of training in osteoporosis therapy, does bike fitting, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA).

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. She enjoys skiing, hiking, cycling, and running. If she is not doing one of these activities then you’ll likely find her cheering for her kids at one of their many sporting events.

According to Lisa, “I believe that physical therapy is a team approach between the therapist and the patient. We both must communicate in order to make this relationship work and have good outcomes. I see myself as a facilitator and educator aiding in a person’s recovery. When a person leaves my care, it is my goal that they feel empowered and able to manage their condition independently.”
