Kennedy Hawkins | PTNW General Manager
Kennedy Hawkins is one of the behind the scenes people at PT Northwest. Kennedy came to work for Alvin and Marian Haunch in October 1992 as their administrator. At that time, Alvin and Marian were looking at retirement and wanted help with the administrative side of their practice. As the practice group has grown over the years, Kennedy’s responsibilities have also grown.

Kennedy is responsible for the overall daily operations of PT Northwest. He combines his 16 years of medical management experience with a Masters of Business Administration and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Willamette University, and a Masters in Taxation from Southern Methodist University. He works closely with PT Northwest’s clinical directors, and truly enjoys the people in the practice group.

The physical rehabilitation field is very rewarding for Kennedy. He is excited to work in a company that directly improves a person’s quality of life. He receives a tremendous amount of satisfaction seeing patients come to PT Northwest on crutches or in wheelchairs, and leave walking normally on their own.

Kennedy wears many hats in our practice group. In a given day, he may work on a new therapy program, plan the next technology upgrade, negotiate a managed care contract, interpret a new Medicare regulation, review the latest patient satisfaction surveys, or assist with a human resource issue. Kennedy is committed to the PT Northwest tradition of providing the most effective and progressive physical rehab services possible. He has helped PT Northwest become a preeminent physical rehabilitation leader in the Pacific Northwest.

When he is not at PT Northwest, Kennedy keeps himself very busy. His wife Frances and his three boys keep Kennedy’s life full and interesting. Kennedy likes to stay active by playing basketball, softball, golf and snowboarding. He enjoys serving in his local church, mentoring youth, and coaching youth sports. Kennedy is a former board member of several non-profit corporations. Currently, Kennedy sits on the board of directors and executive committee of the National Association of Rehabilitation Agencies. Feel free to stop by and see Kennedy when you are at our Northeast Salem location.
