MIKE HMURA, MSPT
Director Northeast Salem Clinic
Mike Hmura, MSPT, has been the Director at PT Northwest's largest clinic for the past 15 years and has been an owner for ten years. He epitomizes the PT Northwest spirit. Mike started as a physical therapy aide while he was pursing his undergraduate studies at Willamette University in Biology and Sports Medicine. Upon completion, he went into training for an Army Physical Therapy Specialty at Brook Army Medical Center at the Academy of Health Sciences in San Antonio, TX and at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, WA.
Mike received his Masters in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 1996. Upon graduating from Pacific, he became a physical therapist for PT Northwest and shortly thereafter became a Director. His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Northeast Salem clinic. This clinic is especially busy with its wellness/aquatics programs that are integrated into the clinic. Mike is ASTYM certified and has been a Matheson trained functional capacity evaluator for our group for 4 years. In addition to his duties as Director, Mike is the clinical coordinator (CCCE) for all graduate and undergraduate programs. He has been a clinical instructor for nine different doctorate programs and four undergraduate programs.
Above everything else, Mike is a family man. Mike and his wife, Trina, have two daughters, ages 12 and 9. He enjoys watching his daughters play basketball, track, and is coaching soccer for his daughters' teams through Keizer Soccer Club . Mike played soccer in college and some semi-professionally, so soccer has always been a second love for him.
